History of Whitewater’s NRHH

The Linda Long chapter of NRHH was first organized on the campus of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1978 by a small group of 15 students and their advisor, Linda Long. The chapter grew throughout the early 1980’s with the support of the Office of Residence Life and the chapter’s various advisors. In the later 1980’s the chapter was renamed in the honor of its first advisor, Linda Long. The Linda Long chapter of NRHH has won numerous awards, including NACURH chapter of the year in 1984 and WURHA chapter of the year in 2002.

Not only has this chapter won awards in the past it is a clearly growing honor on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus for residence life leaders. Also the four pillars are very evident in the past and present of this chapter with the leadership, programming, studentship, and recognition visible through out campus.

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) has partnered with Residence Hall Linens for several years to provide our students and families with a convenient, affordable way to ensure you have everything you need for life on campus.  NRHH receives proceeds from every order placed through this program. Parents and students who have taken advantage of this opportunity in previous years recommend placing your order early, since popular colors and patterns can sell out quickly.
